Dog-sitting!!!
So this week I am staying at my Aunt Amy's house taking care of her dogs while she and her family are off at Disneyland (lucky them!) with my grandparents. Amy has two dogs: a german shepard name Tasha and a pug named Zoey. They are adorable. I arrived at her house this morning and let them out of their little room and nearly got tackled by Zoey. She sure is strong for her size.
They are some of the best behaved dogs I have ever met. Really. I have also dog-sat for my Uncle Jer and Aunt Kris. They have two labs, a yellow lab named Gracie and a black lab named Odie. I'm gonna have a blast this week!

Breaking Dawn Review (Spoiler Alert (Meaning: Mom, don't read this!))
Wow, I'm just wonderful at this updating thing, aren't I? Well, yet again, I have been procrastinating updating my blog. It's not because I don't like updating, it's more that nothing interesting has happened this month.
Breaking Dawn came out, finally. I read it and I really liked it. I know there are some people out there who didn't like it for a multitude of reasons. Well, I feel bad for them. I really enjoyed it. To me, it went perfectly with the rest of the series and Stephenie wrote us a perfect ending to Edward and Bella's love story.
However, there were a few details I wish were different. First of all, Jacob and Bella's relationship. Ugh. It is somewhat ludicrous (to me) that Bella, who has Edward, an amazing husband, is still mushy over Jacob! It makes me angry. I know that Edward kind of brought this upon himself when he left Bella in New Moon, but still.
Stephenie Meyer threw in an explanation for this, though she has the ugliest, most awkward name in the world: Renesmee. So even though this explains Jacob's loving Bella, it still doesn't excuse Bella for being an idiot. Renesmee herself is strange. I'm not saying I didn't like her, because honestly I can't decide whether she is adorable or creepy, but the idea of a baby being born and growing at such a quick rate and drinking blood, of all things, is kind of hard to wrap your mind around. Her gift was a perfect fit to the story, however. I honestly think I would have liked her better if she'd grown up a little slower and acted more like a child.
Another thing I wanted to mention is that I don't think it was too raunchy. I know that some people out there thought that, but I didn't.
I also didn't like how some of our favorite characters were practically pushed aside in Breaking Dawn. Alice was almost nonexistant because of Renesmee and the werewolves! I was angry about that, because Alice is one of my favorite characters. Charlie played such a small part and what part he did have, he was vague and a somewhat unCharlie-like push-over. Renee was hardly mentioned. I did not like how Rosalie simply took over Renesmee. Yes, we all know Rosalie wanted a baby, but sheesh! I still hate her. Emmett was pushed out of the picture by Jacob and Rosalie pretending to be Renesmee's parents. Ugh. Carlisle and Esme, the sweetest characters, hardly had a role either!
Well, now to the things I did like. Edward and Bella's honeymoon was very romantic. Who wouldn't want a private island for their honeymoon? I loved Bella's experiences as a vampire, even though after three and a half books of Edward stubbornly saying "No", it was strange to read about her as a vampire. Edward and Bella's cottage was a wonderful idea and I wish I had one!
I loved the gathering of vampires, more for the idea of meeting new characters than the plot line. The Romanians were hilarious and I agree with them; they should have wiped out those arrogant, slimy, manipulating Volturi! I loved the Egyptian vampire Benjamin. He was such a pleasant character. And Garrett was awesome. So the vampire gathering was a highlight for me.
Overall, I really did enjoy the book. Yeah, it could have been about a hundred pages shorter with less details about Bella's boring pregnancy, but it was still interesting. Stephenie kept the characters true, for the most part (here I mean Edward practically begging Jacob to help Bella. I mean, come on!). Stephenie ended Edward and Bella's story perfectly, while still leaving open ending for some of the other characters if she chooses to write more, which I hope she will. Wouldn't Renesmee's story be interesting? I mean, now she has Jacob and Nahuel to fight over her! I would also love to hear Benjamin's story, although I don't think that will happen. And poor Leah! I finally thought she and Jacob were getting somewhere and then, just because Renesmee is born, poof! Leah disappears from the storyline!
Well, that's basically my Breaking Dawn review. Mom, I hope you didn't read this! And everyone else, leave a comment. I would love to discuss the book more!

What Happened in July!
So I havent updated my blog in a whole month! Yeah, my mom has been teasing me for that one. So anyway. A lot actually happened. I got my new car; a Dodge Neon. It's pretty adorable. It's silver and little and I named him Edmund, after King Edmund in the Chronicles of Narnia. Edmund is pretty much one of my favorite characters.
Then my boyfriend Jason got his mission call! He is going to the Lansing Michigan mission. I felt so relieved that he wasn't going to some crazy foreign country! I didn't even know I was worried about it until I realized how relieved I was. So I am very happy.
Also, I have decided to go to Argentina for two months with my step-mom Silvina and almost two-year-old little brother Johnny. I know, two whole months in a foreign country! I hope I can learn Spanish or I will be very confused. Silvina says she will take me to see Twilight the movie when it comes out in December and we are in Argentina. She even says it will probably be in English! But if it's not, I better learn Spanish fast!
So tonight Breaking Dawn comes out! Wow, I am so excited! I am frantically trying to finish Eclipse again, since I read all the Twilight books yet again this week. I can't wait to get my copy of Breaking Dawn! I am not letting anybody else touch it though, since my Twilight books have a bad history of either getting ruined (Like my signed first-edition of Twilight) or going missing (like my signed first-edition of New Moon). I know, heart-breaking, isn't it?
Anyways. That is what happened this month! I really should get better at this updating business. I'll write back soon!

More About Books
So this week I have been reading a new series of books by an author I have never read before. The series is called Abram's Daughters and they are all about one man's family just after World War II. The family also happens to be Amish. At first, I was sort of thinking, Now how can I go and read five books about Amish people? Wont that be boring? Well I was in for a big surprise. As soon as I finished the first book, I immediately had to start reading the next one! These books haven't let me rest for a whole week. The gripping storyline and all-too real characters simply got me hooked! Now I am almost done with the fifth one and I still can't put it down! So, if you are looking for some more books to read while waiting for Breaking Dawn to come out, go get the Abram's Daughters series by Beverly Lewis!

Better Than Twilight
When I read Twilight about two years ago, I would have laughed at any person who told me there was a better romance to be read. Twilight is among one of the best books I have ever read and there are millions of devoted fans out there who would readily agree with me. However, I just finished Stephenie Meyer's latest book this week, The Host, and I have to admit, it is even better than Twilight! I would have never thought I would say such a thing, but Stephenie Meyer brought a whole new light to sci-fi romances. Her main character, an alien soul named Wanderer (aka Wanda), is such a complex character, especially because she inhabits Melanie Stryder's body and Melanie is still there!
Now, if anyone reading this blog hasn't read The Host, go and read it now! Especially if you are a fan of Stephenie Meyer. Her writing is just as amazing, if not better, than anything else she has written before.

About Time
I have finally decided to join the blogging community. I know, about time right? My mom is very into it right now so I thought, Hey, she can help me get set up! I'm a bit technology challenged, to tell the truth. But she showed me a few things and here I am, with my very own blog!
I am also now a high school graduate! I was definitely ready to be done with high school. I never have to experience all the drama, gossip, and high hormone levels of high school again, for which I am grateful. The only question is, does it get better or worse in college? I guess time will tell. I have an entire summer of working and spending time with my adorable boyfriend, Jason, before I must journey to brave the campus of USU. And while I can't wait to be out on my own, I'm certainly glad I have a few months before that new adventure.
